Yogurt and its history

The yogurt was used by ancient Greeks to help the digestion and was considered a great food for the stomach. Today, we know that yogurt contains good bacteria in the form of beneficial microorganisms for us.

The Greek yogurt is made with cow’s milk or sheep which has been reduced by boiling. This eliminates the liquid contents and gives yogurt a thick consistency.

Freeze Greek yogurt

The Greek yogurt can be frozen and used in various desserts. Because of its fat content, the yogurt should not be curdled, so it can also be used in many dishes, such as soups, salads and sauces. The Greek yogurt can be stored in the freezer up to 3 months.

Greek yogurt ice cream

To make Greek yogurt ice cream, add a tablespoon of soy milk, rice or cow for each portion. Also add a tablespoon of honey and a few drops of vanilla essence. Mix everything in a bowl for ice cream, with lid. Close the pan and put it in the freezer up to one hour. Check after half an hour to make sure it is not too hard. You can change the flavor of yogurt experimenting with various ingredients.
